All registered authors will receive an acknowledgement of registration in the next few days.
If you are resident outside the Republic of Ireland you should also receive, in the same envelope, a notice asking you to tell us how you wish to be payed if you are due a payment for 2009.
There are two choices
Option 1: You may receive a payment through your collecting society – you will be liable for any fees deducted by the collecting society.
Option 2: You may receive a payment by Euro cheque – you will be liable for the bank charges.
The PLR Office has been busy processing payments for PLR Year 2009.
Cheques and statements to authors resident in Ireland were posted on 30th December 2009.
Cheques and statements to authors resident in the UK and other countries were posted on February 26th 2010.
ALCS made Irish PLR payments to authors who chose to be paid via ALCS
on February 15th, 2010. Authors will receive their statements from ALCS at the start of March.
Please note that statements are only being sent to authors who are receiving a payment.
Please note that statements will only list books that were registered prior to October 9th, 2009.
Books registered after that date will be included for PLR year 2010.
The Rate Per Loan for PLR Year 2009 is 13.93 cent.
