The Top 10 National List of Most Borrowed Titles and Authors below is compiled using the Top 100 titles from each of the public library authorities. The data below are from July 2010.

The influence of the International IMPAC Dublin literary Award is reflected in the winning 2010 selection of Gerbrand Bakker’s ‘The Twin’ being placed in the No. 1 spot.

The remainder of the list is comprised of regular Children’s Literature heavyweights such as Francesca Simon and J.K. Rowling, the consistently popular Official Driver Theory Test while popular and literary fiction is represented through the works of Dan Brown, Colm Toibin, Stieg Larsson and Stephenie Meyer.

Once again, children’s authors dominate the list of most borrowed authors for July 2010 with interest in Francesca Simon’s ‘Horrid Henry’ showing few signs of waning, as the claims the No. 1 spot once again with Jacqueline Wilson and Daisy Meadows highly placed at No. 2 and No. 4 respectively.
